Just another sunny day

Are you enjoying the long week-end?  Great opportunity to get some work done in the garden, or perhaps a visit to the park.  Garden for me there is a bed I want to dig out and that might just mean a trip to the garden centre.

Then of course there is the new data privacy law, need to write a policy for the shop.  Something along the lines of.  I only have access to the information that is needed to correspond with you and to send your purchase to you.   This is not shared with anyone else or used for anything other than the business transaction between us.  How does that sound?

So today after a working morning, nice long walk to the shop over the road, I went the long way around 2k in fact.  It is all part of a little program to help with my overall wellbeing.   Now it is rather still feels a bit like the calm before the storm, love thunder and lightening but very much want to play in the garden this week-end.

There is a lovely lady who goes by the name Mac Mable who is a frequent visiter here and always leave a lovely comment.   Mac Mable is on the design team for CAS Mix Up, a monthly challenge.  The requirement is that you make a card and include the 3 challenge elements in a CAS, mixed media style.  This month I've got my act together and have made a card for the May challenge.

The requirements this time are, Gelatos or Crayons, Stamping and your own choice from a list on the sidebar.   I chose cork, in fact I got very excited at the prospect of using cork.

Pennyblack brush stroke stamp picked out in Gelatos then spritzed with water to loosen the medium up.   Even though I wanted a loose effect the outlines did need to be defined a little with black outline pen.   The cork element is a die cut on sticky back cork, card is finished with a stamped sentiment, this time with Memento ink.

I'd also like to share this with:

CAS Mix Up - See explanation above picture.

CAS-ual Fridays - This fortnightly challenge opened their challenge to all styles some time ago, still a nice one to join in with.  The prompt at the moment is "April showers bring May flowers".

Creative Fridays - Week 2 of this fortnightly challenge and the theme of "For a Woman/Girl".

Double D Challenges - May Flowers and a very pretty mood board to inspire you.

Always Happy Birthday - This is a monthly challenge who ask that your project be Birthday themed and follow their prompt, May's prompt is Flowers.

Better get the washing in, just in case that storm happens.

  5. Hi again Zoe, popping back to thank you for joining in the challenge over at The CAS Mix Up with this wonderful card. Love how you used the cork, great texture and such a pretty die cut flower. The Gelatos on that brush stroke stamp look really pretty and love the combination of the loose effect of the colours and also defining it with the black outline pen. Glorious card, full of mixed media elements and yet keeping it CAS....x
