Unruly PaperArts starting a new Term and looking for new Columnists

Want to be an Unruly PaperArts Columnist?  Here's your chance!

Unruly PaperArts is a collaborative Blogozine featuring regular and guest columnists as well as reader-submitted articles on stamping, mixed media, collage, altered art and scrapbooking.

Believing that creativity is boundless our articles are designed to introduce new products, techniques and simply inspire, encouraging our readers to discover all that is magnificent and messy in their own art.  We are currently seeking a few new columnists for our October 2013 – March 2014 term.

As a Unruly Columnist you would be expected to:
  • Complete 2 – 3 articles in your chosen specialty/column over the period of your six-month term, keeping in line with our monthly theme, and
  • Participate and provide at least one sample of art for each of the 2 Reader Art Quests over the course of your term.  Reader Art Quests is where we challenge and invite the public to participate and create to a set theme which falls under our broader monthly theme.
Your articles can be technique or supply related. You may use any products you desire to create your project. We would love for each of your articles to include a step by step rundown on how you made your project with photos and a supply list. The UPA requirements allow some flexibility. Applicants should have their own blog and be willing to communicate with other team members via Yahoo and Facebook Groups as Unruly Paper Arts uses both of these social networks.

Previous Design Team experience is not necessary to apply.  All applications will be considered.
Please send an email to daniemay71@gmail.com with “UPA Columnist Application” in the subject line.
Please include the following in your application:
  • Name and blog address
  • Current and Previous Design Teams
  • Publication Credits if any
  • 3 – 5 links to what you believe to be your best work
  • A brief description of your artistic style and a brief description of what you see your future column with UPA covering, including its focus, area of craft and style.

We will be accepting applications from September 3 to September 15, 2013. We will send out Columnists invitations for open spots by September 20, 2013.
